It’s been a while since Google updated the Calendar app for Android to match its new Material Design style. Now it looks like Google Calendar for your iPhone may finally get the update as well, after screenshots of the refreshed app leaked out on Monday, courtesy of The Next Web.

Just like the app does on Android, Google Calendar will get Gmail integration for iOS, making it easier to schedule appointments by automatically grabbing the details from your inbox. The updated app also adds pictures and maps based on each event. Each month also gets a little drawing in the header that reflects the season.

It looks like Google still has a little work to do before releasing the app on iOS, though it shouldn’t be too long before it hits Apple’s App Store. Until then, check out our own hands on photos of Google Calendar on Android for a taste of what’s to come.
