Google IO 2013 - Android Studio

At Google I/O, the company has unveiled a new Android development environment today called Android Studio. Built off of the IntelliJ IDEA, the Eclipse replacement will feature things like multiple layout tools for a range of devices. Tweaks and app revisions to Android code show up in real time inside the development console, and Google says several services, including Cloud Messaging, will be integrated into the environment. The idea is to offer a single hub that devs can use to revise old apps or build new ones. And that's just scratching the surface, as Hugo Barra, VP of Android product management, says more changes will be on tap.
