What you need to know

  • Google will drop more information about Google Stadia this summer.
  • The info will include pricing, game announcements, and launch info.

Google Stadia is set to launch later this year, but we know surprisingly little about the gaming service. That is going to change this summer.

In a Tweet through Stadia's Twitter account, Google confirmed that later this summer it will answer some of our most burning questions about Stadia, including how much it will cost, what games it will offer, and the exact date it will launch.

We already know Stadia will offer Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Doom Eternal, but it will need more than those two games to really appeal to gamers. Google has said it is working with over 100 gaming studios to develop gaming support for the new service.

The next matter would be pricing, which will make or break the service. It's unclear if Google will go with the monthly subscription route or have other forms of payments such as yearly fees.

A set date to look out for is E3. The gaming convention taking place from June 11-13 seems like a great time to unveil all of the information for Stadia. Regardless, whenever Google does drop more info about Stadia, we'll be sure to pass it along.
