Google has added support for CarPlay to its Play Music application for iOS, potentially paving the way for Maps and Waze to follow suit. That is, of course, if Apple is willing to allow third-party alternatives to Apple Maps on its in-car software.
The Play Music for CarPlay client is divided into four sections: Home, Music Library, Recents and Stations, with the former housing recommendations based on your listening habits and other influencing factors, like the time of day.
