Google Latitude Leaderboard

Over the weekend, Google quietly launched a new Leaderboard feature to Latitude — its mapping service that allows users to keep track of one another's location. The leaderboard hasn't been officially announced by Google, but it allows Latitude users to check into destinations and compete against Google+ friends by earning points. It appears that, just like Foursquare, there's really no point to the leaderboard aside from fun competition against others.

We haven't used Latitude much since Foursquare was introduced. Foursquare offers deals at some locations, badges for a number of categories, and doesn't feel as "stalkerish" when it comes to finding out where your friends are currently dining or hanging out. Do you still use Latitude? Sound off in the comments below.
