Have you ever showed up at the grocery store only to forget what you intended to buy? If you own a Google Home, those situations will be a thing of the past.
Google is rolling out support for location-based reminders to Google Home. One of the examples Google uses in its announcement is, "Hey Google, set a reminder to pick up more coffee at the grocery store," and the next time you are at the grocery store, a reminder will pop up. Of course, this will only work if you have location services activated.
But Google Home's location-based functionality doesn't end there. Getting specific with the locations works, too. Instead of just stating grocery store or coffee shop, saying Target, Walmart or Starbucks hones in on the specific location you intend to go.
Location-based reminders have been available on Android phones for a while, but the feature may prove to be much more useful with Google Home devices.
