Apple isn't the only tech company that's starting to bring manufacturing to the United States, Google is reportedly set to do the same thing when it begins building its Google Glass augmented reality product. Foxconn will oversee the manufacturing process, The Financial Times said, but it will occur in Santa Clara, California instead of in a plant abroad.

So far it sounds like the first batch will be made there, so it's possible that future batches will be moved abroad as production ramps up and if the product takes off with consumers. The Financial Times said that most of the parts required to build Google Glass will be shipped from overseas partners.

Google is also reportedly working with another company, Warby Parker, on creating frames for the product that will help everyone look less like a cyborg.
