nexus 5 wireless charger

Google is set to release a specially designed wireless charger for the newly-announced Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) later today, according to reports from Engadget and The Verge. There's still no word on how much the charger will cost or what time it will launch, though both sites have published photos of the accessory.

The Nexus 4 also launched with a wireless charger, but unlike last year's rubber puck, the Nexus 5 wireless charger offers a glossy design and a subtle trapezoid shape. It also features a built-in magnet, which works with magnets installed in the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) to offer improved stability while charging.

The new charger supports the Qi standard, so it should work with the Nexus 4 as well as most smartphones with wireless charging, though only the Nexus 5 and second-generation Nexus 7 come with built-in magnets.
