SpaceX made history last week by successfully landing its Falcon 9 rocket on a floating barge. Now, the company has uploaded several pictures from the event, some of which you can see in the gallery above.

What makes last week’s landing so significant is it proves reusable rockets can be an important part of the future, especially if we want to shuttle humans to Mars. SpaceX—and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin—already proved rockets can be landed back on land, but doing so on a floating barge is much more difficult, making last week’s success a true measurement of what’s possible.
