For the first time since the release of the original Gears of War, Epic’s third person shooter once again is headed for PC with Gears of War Ultimate.

Rod Fergusson of The Coalition (formerly Black Tusk) took the stage to announce that their HD overhaul of the Xbox 360 classic would be making its way to PC as well.

With its jump to the PC, gamers can look forward to playing at resolutions as high as 4K and graphics that take advantage of DirectX 12. A variety of control options will be available as well, including both wired and wireless controllers as well as, most importantly, mouse and keyboard.

Fergusson hinted at having something else to announce later, which seems likely to be Gears of War 4, though we expect to hear more later this year.
