Starting this week, you can infuse your conversations with a fun and more personal touch. Just make sure you’re using Google’s virtual keyboard.
Gboard, formerly known as Google Keyboard, gained selfie stickers that represent whoever’s typing.
Google calls them Minis, and they’re AI-powered to get the most accurate portrayal of you. Even if you’re not satisfied with the Mountain View-based company’s recreation, you’re able to make edits. So you can look exactly how you want as a Mini. Then you’re free to send Minis to friends describing exactly how you feel.
The feature isn’t too different than Bitmoji. Coincidentally, the Snap-owned supplier of full-body selfie stickers also claims a residency on Gboard. You can never have too many selfie stickers, right?
If you’re on the beta, Gboard might’ve already been offering Minis for several weeks. Google tested the feature for select users leading up to its official announcement. Now they’re available for all users on iOS and Android with the latest version of the Gboard app.
