Pretty much everything there is to know about the Galaxy S9 leaked a few days ago. Mobile industry insider Evan Blass shared with the world details regarding Samsung’s 2018 flagship, and his proven track record means it’s all likely accurate. He revealed that, despite looking a lot like its predecessor, the Galaxy S9 will have upgraded specifications to stay current.
Now the countdown for the phone’s announcement is on. But you don’t have to wait a few more weeks to add a little bit of the Galaxy S9 to your current phone. The first wallpaper belonging to the Galaxy S9 has been posted online in its full resolution.
If you’re interested, here’s the wallpaper from Blass:
Make sure you get the full size version rather than a downgraded version. Just follow the link in Blass’ tweet before downloading the wallpaper, and then you’ll have what appears to be the exact same wallpaper that’ll ship on the Galaxy S9.
Its design is reminiscent of the launch wallpaper on the Galaxy S5 that featured a bunch of polygons connected. Here, though, the color scheme is darker.
Samsung will announce the Galaxy S9 at MWC 2018 next month, and there are sure to be at least a few surprises that haven’t been leaked yet. The launch event in Barcelona is scheduled to go down on Sunday, February 25. If previous leaks and reports are correct, the Galaxy S9 will then be released only a few weeks later in mid-March. Keeping a small gap between announcing the flagship and releasing it is meant to ensure the hype from its debut translates into sales.
When the Galaxy S9 becomes official, we’ll be sure to get our hands on it right away.
