The folks over at Android Police have managed to obtain a copy of one of Samsung's confidential employee training manuals that just so happens to provide an overview of the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active.

From what we can tell, the documentation doesn't actually reveal anything new about the handset; it merely corroborates recent leaks, rumors and speculation — but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

On the outside, the Galaxy S8 Active sports a military-grade polycarbonate body that's attached to a heavy-duty metal frame, which should provide ample protection from heavy knocks and bumps.

All signs point towards the device featuring the same Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM and 12MP camera as the Galaxy S8, though it should pack a slightly larger 4,000mAh battery.

It should be available through AT&T, AT&T and, ermmm, AT&T

The Galaxy S8 Active is expected to launch exclusively through AT&T in the United States on August 1, where customers will be take advantage of the handset's physical Bixby button right from the word go.
