The Galaxy S6 Edge is finally official! Samsung just announced the new high-end phone, which matches cutting edge specs with a sleek new design and a curved AMOLED display. Here’s everything we know about the device.

The Galaxy S6 Edge packs a 5.1-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels that curves in slightly on either side. Under the hood it packs an octa-core Exynos 7 series processor, a 2600mAh non-removable battery, a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of storage with no microSD support. The phone runs Android 5.0 out of the box, along with the company’s own updated TouchWiz software.

Samsung’s also packed in support for both wireless charging standards and an upgraded touch-based fingerprint sensor built into the home button. Speaking of that home button, you can click it twice to quickly launch the camera. You’ll also use the biometric scanner to approve mobile payments once the company’s new Samsung Pay service goes live.

The Galaxy S6 Edge is set to launch around the world next month on April 10, when it will be available in white, black, gold and a beautiful “Emerald Green.” Samsung still hasn’t said how much the new phone will cost, though we’re guessing it won’t come cheap.
