Samsung on Wednesday announced the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, officially changing its strategy from last year, when it announced a variation of the Galaxy Note 4, dubbed the Galaxy Note Edge. It’s a very different phone this year, so we wanted to show you the sort of changes Samsung made.
First, you’ll note that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, like the Galaxy S6 Edge, offers curves on both sides of the display. And this year it’s more of a multimedia consumption device than a productivity-focused smartphone. The S Pen is gone, and it’s essentially a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge than a variant of the Note (which makes sense, given its name.)
The specs, however, are all upgraded across the board and, under the hood, it’s basically the exact same device as the Galaxy Note 5. Check out how it stacks up against last year’s Galaxy Note Edge in the spec tables below.
