We’ve already seen the Galaxy S6 pop-up all over the Internet, but now the rumored flagship phone may have leaked out on Samsung’s own website. The upcoming handset and its alleged “Edge” counterpart were spotted on the company’s Swedish support site this morning, though they’ve already been removed.
Spotted by Dutch site Galaxy Club NL, the Samsung support pages refer to two smartphones with the model numbers SM-G920X and SM-G9256, which were already associated with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, respectively. The flagship handset already feels like a given, though the curved variant remains a bit of a mystery. Now it looks like both models are indeed on the way.
Based on recent rumors, the Galaxy S6 is expected to pack a Quad HD display, a 64-bit Exynos processor, an upgraded camera and plenty of other high-end specs. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S6 Edge will likely offer similar hardware, though with a curved display that slopes down on the left and right sides, adding two columns of extra screen space. Samsung may also introduce a scaled-back version of its TouchWiz Android-based software and a new mobile payments service.
Samsung looks set to unveil the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge next month at an event on March 1, where we may also get a look at the rumored Orbis smartwatch. TechnoBuffalo will be covering the entire thing live, so stay tuned for all the Samsung news and more.
