We’re mere hours away from a Samsung event at Mobile World Congress and it appears the cat may already be out of the bag for what may be announced.
While we’ve been fairly positive the Galaxy S5 would be the focus of today’s event, some new images leaked by SaudiAndroid provide some of the most convincing evidence yet. The pictures showed up on Twitter and show us what appears to be the Galaxy S5 from multiple angles as well as some size comparisons. According on one image, we can clearly see a device with a larger screen than the Galaxy S4, and also slightly smaller than the Note 3 phablet.
A group shot showing the front and the back of the phone also seems to indicate that the back plate is different than years past, and almost appears to be dimpled.
It does appear that there is a higher resolution camera this time around and that it will be capable of recording UHD videos.
There’s a lot to absorb here, but we don’t have long to wait to find out all of the details for ourselves. The event kicks off 10:30 a.m. Pacific, so join us for our Samsung MWC 2014 Unpacked 5 Event Liveblog and find out along with us if this is indeed the Galaxy S5. Whatever is announced today, we will have hands-on videos shortly after the event concludes.
