As if it’s never too early for something to leak, we might have our very first look at the Galaxy S10.
Ice Universe, the mobile industry insider with a proven track record on all things Samsung, indicated what seems to be the South Korean company’s 2019 flagship. The word “beyond” was used when referring to the design, and that’s also the codename for the Galaxy S10.
From the photo, we see a stunning edge-to-edge display with ultra-thin bezels. There isn’t a notch, so maybe Samsung is interested in using a slide-out-mechanism for the front-facing camera.
However, take this leak with a grain of salt. The unit shown in the photo could be a prototype. The Galaxy S10 may look a lot like this, but perhaps Samsung won’t actually roll with a true all-screen front in the end.
The roadmap for Samsung’s upcoming products should turn out to be slightly different. In early January, the Galaxy S10 is expected to be announced at CES. Samsung will reportedly move up its core flagship to announce the Galaxy X at MWC in late February. Both phones would co-exist as the company tests if a foldable phone is viable.
Before any of that happens, we have to see the Galaxy Note 9. The second flagship of the year is likely to be made official in early August. Samsung would like to get a decent jump on Apple’s new iPhone models and give its 2019 lineup a longer lead time.
