Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 - Press Image - 003

Office Depot is currently accepting pre-orders for Samsung's 12.2-inch Galaxy Note Pro, and the tablet sure isn't cheap. We weren't expecting the device to undercut the iPad or anything of that nature, but the Korean company's next generation device, which we got our hands on back at CES in January, might be a tad more costly than people hoped. The 64GB model, for example, is retailing for $849.99. For context, Apple's 128GB iPad Air starts at $799 for the Wi-Fi-only model. Pre-orders of the 12.2-inch Note Pro will ship beginning Feb. 13, according to Office Depot's online store.

As a reminder, Samsung's beastly new tablet sports a 12.2-inch display with a 2560×1600 resolution, Android 4.4 KitKat, an 8-megapixel camera (a 2-megapixel camera is up front), USB 3.0, 3GB of RAM, a 9500mAh battery and 32GB or 64GB of storage. An S-Pen is included, along with Samsung's brand new Magazine UX, which looks like it could have come from the labs of Microsoft.

If you absolutely crave Samsung's latest and greatest, this surely won't disappoint. Or you can grab the Nexus 7 from Google Play, which retails for a fraction of the cost.
