No matter what you may think of the phablet movement in the market, it definitely appears that it is here to stay. To that end, it appears that Samsung may be prepared to start showing the Galaxy Note III to carriers very soon.

According to sources speaking with Koreatimes, representatives of AT&T will meet with Samsung this week to look over the Galaxy Note III and discuss launch and marketing strategies for the new phablet. The devices that will be shown will be mockups that lack any form of internal chips, but it will allow the marketing executives from the American carrier to get an idea of what to expect when the phone does launch.

As for the rumors of it having a 6.3-inch screen, apparently those rumors are actually tied to a lower end device if you can believe it. The latest scuttlebutt has the Galaxy Note III sporting a 5.9-inch display.

Currently the Galaxy Note III is rumored for a fall release, with IFA in Berlin being tossed around as a potential launch announcement location.
