Contrary to recent reports, The Investor claims that Samsung’s on track to release the Galaxy Note FE in South Korea on July 7, though it’s unclear how it managed to overcome the production issues it was allegedly experiencing.

It’s believed that all 300,000 units will launch at the same time, which is impressive when you consider the strengthened quality control process each handset is subjected to, and how many other smartphones pass through the firm’s factories on a daily basis.

The main differences between the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy Note FE are that the latter will: ship with a 3,200mAh battery, have Bixby on board and be marked with a small “R” to indicate that it’s a refurbished device.

We don’t have any solid information to go on with regards to pricing, but if the slew of rumors we’ve heard recently are anything to go by, it’ll carry a price tag of $700, which is a bit of an outrage, if you ask us.

To justify the extortionate price, Samsung will reportedly market the Galaxy Note “Fandom Edition” (yes, that’s really what FE stands for) towards its die-hard fans, who are willing to pay more to get their hands on a piece of memorabilia.
