With Samsung taking the wraps off the Galaxy Note 9, we thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to put it against one of the best and most popular Android flagships around—the OnePlus 6.
Looking at the Note 9 and OnePlus 6, the similarities are uncanny. Each features the same industrial design that’s popular with smartphones. That matter is exacerbated by the similar dual-camera system in the back, the only difference is one is vertical while the other is horizontal. The similarities continue under the hood with the both using the Snapdragon 845 processor and 8GB of RAM.
The striking difference between the two is the segment each is aimed at and the price that costs. The Note 9 offers the best of everything—gorgeous OLED display, S-Pen, 512GB of storage and a 4,000mAh battery—at a price that eclipses the $1,000 barrier. On the other side, the OnePlus 6 starts off at half the cost ($529), though that comes with notable compromises: no wireless charging, an AMOLED display and of course, the notch.
It all comes down to how much money you want to spend. Regardless, whichever phone you choose, you’ll be quite happy with your choice.
