If you ordered a new Galaxy Note 7 in the blue coral or silver colors, you may find yourself waiting for the new unit to arrive. Android Central said recently that unforeseen demand for the unit has caused shipment times to slip by weeks.
Samsung began taking preorders for both smartphones earlier this month; the phone officially launches today. Some units began arriving yesterday, as was the case of a blue coral unit I ordered from AT&T for personal use.
“We’ve experienced an unprecedented number of pre-orders and we’re excited to begin fulfilling orders on August 19th,” Samsung Canada told Android Central. “Over the coming weeks, we’ll work with our valued carrier and retail partners to provide wide-reaching national retail availability.”
Carriers may still have select units in stock today, and this doesn’t mean all units are delayed, but you might want to check your shipping order to be sure.
