Earlier this month a report out of Korea suggested that Samsung was gearing up to launch the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus a month early, in August, in an effort to beat Apple’s new flagship iPhones to the market. Now a fresh report gives us a reveal date.

Business Korea said Wednesday that Samsung plans to host an event in New York City on August 13 to unveil both new smartphones. The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be its new flagship phablet with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, an Exynos 7422 processor, and a new S Pen, while the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will reportedly lack the S Pen and feature an Exynos 7420 chip and the “edge” display we saw on the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Business Korea again reiterates that Samsung will release the phone sometime in August, but it doesn’t provide an exact date. If the announcement date is legitimate, we suspect we’ll hear more in the form of invites very shortly.
