With confirmations coming in that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Gear smartwatch next month at an already-scheduled press conference in Berlin, it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer to see the long-rumored piece of wearable technology. Still, Samsung’s Unpacked event on Sept. 4 is a good few weeks away, so in the meantime why not indulge in a some beautiful concept designs, even if they’re clearly too good to be true.

Digital marketing firm T3 released a pretty incredible video today, imagining how the Galaxy Gear might look and function, although the video goes above and beyond what we’re actually expecting from Samsung. The concept design shows a sleek black smartwatch with a tall but thin display that wraps around half of the wearer’s wrist, though based on recent reports we don’t expect the real device to feature a bendable screen. T3’s device runs on a scaled-down version of Android Jelly Bean and comes with its own specialized apps, including texting, email, fitness and maps applications. Most of this makes sense, although we haven’t seen anything in Samsung’s smartwatch patents to suggest the device will offer a version of Google Maps.

We can hardly wait until September 4, when Samsung is expected to unveil both the Galaxy Note III and now the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as well. TechnoBuffalo will be attending the event in Berlin to bring you live updates, but for now enjoy T3’s video above or these screenshots below.
