lg g4 leaked render

The LG G4 is expected to make its official debut within the next few months, and we might be getting an early look the smartphone, though we have a few reservations on the leaked image above. However, the photo was published by NoWhereElse editor and frequent gadget leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, which gives it some credibility.

Based on the image above, the LG G4 looks a lot like the company’s recent devices. It offers the same basic layout as the G3, but features a bit of the curve that’s more prominent in the G Flex 2. Hemmerstoffer notes that this is an early render, so the final version could be pretty different from today’s leak. He also puts the G4’s dimensions at 148.9 x 76.5 x 9.9mm, making it slightly shorter, wider and thicker than its predecessors.

We’re a bit concerned at how much this resembles the G Flex 2, however. We haven’t heard much in the way of LG working to add a curved display to the G4. We’re expecting a Quad HD display on the next flagship and so far we’re not aware of LG mass producing curved panels with that resolution. Additionally, the back looks almost identical to the G Flex 2, though the speaker is slightly different and the camera is rounder. It almost looks like an early render of the G Flex 2 instead of a G4, so keep that in mind.

LG hasn’t revealed much about the G4 so far, though the company previously showed off a 20.7-megapixel camera destined for the flagship phone. Other rumors have pointed to an upgraded 1620 × 2880-pixel display, a G Pen stylus and even a fingerprint scanner with mobile payment support. We’re expecting LG to make an official announcement in May, roughly a year after the G3 was unveiled.
