Funko has a metric ton of new products coming out in 2018 if its Toy Fair showroom is anything to base it upon. There was so much to see that it was hard to even figure out where to start and proceed through the showings. We’re going to try to organize it for you a bit and start off with the offerings based on various television properties.
The biggest new announcements in that realm have to be Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and Saturday Night Live with the latter producing multiple figures already. The company rep promised me that if you don’t see your favorite skit character yet, never fear, they are sure to get to them eventually.
There were numerous new figures based on films, but all of that paled in comparison when we gazed upon the true magnificence of… injured Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park.
If you’ve seen Funko’s Mortal Kombat figures, then you have already seen it’s latest toy line entitled “Savage World.” In 2018 that world is expanding and will see multiple properties released in a style reminiscent of the old 1980s Masters of the Universe toy line. The expansion this year is sure to get a lot of attention based on the properties the company is working on.
We’ll see new figure releases from Thundercats, a Horror collection and a series based on the first Conan the Barbarian film.
The figures will be released throughout the year.
And here is the remainder of the showroom. It was jam-packed, and there is sure to be something in the company’s lineup this year to appeal to you.
