Fossil introduced a new Wear OS device this week. Known as the Fossil Sport, this smartwatch comes with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear 3100 and Google’s redesigned software. Together with a budget-friendly price, the Fossil Sport deserves some extra attention.
It’s built for more active lifestyles, as the Fossil Sport’s name suggests. Fossil worked in a GPS, NFC, waterproofing, and a heart-rate monitor. Of course, the Fossil Sport includes the features and apps of Wear OS as well.
The smartwatch also comes in a variety of colors. Fossil offers it in black, gray, blush, red, blue, and green. If you’d like to add more style, the included silicone strap can be swapped out for any 18mm alternative.
By the way, Fossil doesn’t limit customers to one size. The Fossil Sport is sold in 41mm and 43mm sizes depending on what you like.
As for availability, you’re already able to purchase the Fossil Sport today. It’s priced at $255 and might be the best Wear OS device around in terms of value. The platform still needs more work to rival Apple’s watchOS, but the Fossil Sport isn’t as expensive as some options and has the latest Snapdragon Wear chip. So keep an eye on this one if you’re in the market for a smartwatch.
