flickr pro

Remember Flickr Pro? The paid photo service was shut down two years ago by Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer. Now it’s back with some interesting new features.

Flickr Pro offers more powerful tracking tools so you can see how many people are looking at your photos and why. It’s also totally ad-free and brings back the Pro badge so everyone knows you’re serious about photography. Finally, the subscription includes a few discounts, including 20 percent off Adobe Creative Cloud Photography and free Flickr merchandise shipping in the U.S. (50 percent off for international).

To get those discounts you’ll need to sign up for a year-long subscription, which costs $49.99 per year. There’s also a monthly option for $5.99, which still includes the other perks, though you’ll end up paying more in the long run.

With Google Photos already gaining popularity, and Instagram beginning to offer HD photo support, it makes sense that Yahoo is beefing up its own photo offering with Flickr Pro. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the company is offering any sort of free trial, at least not for now, but it’s possible that could come later this year depending on how many people sign up initially.
