Flashback FridayWith the introduction of Mac OS X Mountain Lion this week, it felt like a good time to look back at another major Apple OS release: Mac OS 9.

Last year we took a look back at the introduction of Mac OS X – which featured a funeral for OS 9 – but it seemed like a fun idea to jump back even further on this one.  This took place in 1999, and it's amazing what was considered big leaps back then such as Sherlock 2.  It was the late 1990s after all, and no one knew what the best search engine was, so it made sense to have a tool that would sort through all of the resorts for you.

Possibly the most shocking thing about the video – besides the low quality – is Steve Jobs … in a suit!

Take a moment to look back into computer history and realize just how far we've come.
