The Fitbit Ionic is almost ready for your life’s daily activities. On Monday the company shared when its very first true smartwatch will be released in the United States. Fitbit is making the announcement of the release date as Apple recently brought its Apple Watch Series 3 to the market, putting pressure on the health and fitness brand to move things along.

The Ionic will be released on Sunday, October 1. All three color options will be immediately available — Blue Gray / Silver Gray, Slate Blue / Burnt Orange, and Charcoal / Smoke Gray.

Unlike the Blaze from 2016 and the Surge from 2015, the Ionic looks and behaves like a real smartwatch. It’s made by Fitbit, so fitness-focused features are still present. But the hardware and software closely resemble what mainstream consumers want out of a smartwatch. The Ionic has a full display and a catalog of apps to serve useful information. While you can still have the smartwatch analyze your activities and vitals, the Ionic also provides full access to notifications, music streaming, and contactless payments.

Fitbit’s Flyer, a pair of wireless headphones, will also be released on the same day as the Ionic. The Flyer will cost $129 and come in your choice of Lunar Gray and Nightfall Blue.

The Ionic is priced similarly to the Apple Watch and other smartwatches. Fitbit and select retailers are selling the Ionic for $299, and that includes both a small band and a large band. Fitbit is offering free shipping and a 45-day money back guarantee as well. So you should feel confident at least trying Fitbit’s Ionic and seeing if it’s the right smartwatch for you.
