Apple Watch watchOS 2-10

iPhone and Apple Watch owners have a lot to look forward to on Wednesday. That’s when Apple will make its brand new iOS 9 and watchOS 2 updates available, which means fresh software for your iPads, iPhones and Apple Watches. Ahead of those launches, new apps that take advantage of the additional features in watchOS 2 and iOS 9 are beginning to hit the iTunes App Store.

9to5Mac rounded up a few of them, noting that The Weather Channel, Star Walk 2, PCalc and The Guardian all have fresh apps already available. The Weather Channel includes a new complication that allows you to see the current percentage of rainfall right on your watch homescreen. Star Walk 2 also includes a new complication on the Apple Watch to find out how clear the sky will be for gazing at the heavens. The Guardian and PCalc have been updated with split-screen multitasking, which will work on the iPad, and native Apple Watch apps.

The apps are all available in the iTunes App Store now, though you’ll of course need to wait until you have iOS 9 or watchOS 2 to take advantage of the new features.
