The clock is slowly ticking down to Final Fantasy X|X2 HD Remaster finally being released on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. After what’s felt like an eternity of waiting, we can jump back into a revamped vision of the beautiful and exotic world of Spira.

Blitzball for all!

Square Enix has a brand new trailer highlighting the differences between the original PlayStation 2 classic and this updated version. Higher resolution, better textures, trophy support, an extended audio drama, and by far the greatest new addition, an entire rearranged soundtrack. The beautiful tunes of Final Fantasy X can finally flow through your TV, free from the shackles of the limited PlayStation 2 hardware.

For those who purchase both the console and mobile version, cross saves are available, meaning you can take your Final Fantasy X on the go now and not lose progress.

And of course, who can forget that classic tune “Real Emotion,” the opening theme to Final Fantasy X-2? I guess Square Enix couldn’t fix everything, or it might have added a new song.

I’m still of the mind that the character models need a bit more work, but everything else looks exceptional. Regardless of how janky Titus looks, I’m a sucker for Final Fantasy X and think it’s one of the greatest games ever made. I’ll be in line day one to pick this up. Yourself?

Final Fantasy X|X2 HD Remaster will be released on March 18.
