Gladiolus, the burliest of Noctis’ buddies in Final Fantasy XV, took center stage at PAX East this past weekend. His DLC finally got its much-anticipated reveal, and GameSpot managed to capture the best 15 minutes of it.

The footage provides enough story to get a feel of what Gladiolus’ goals are on his solo campaign, but more importantly, the footage gives us our first solid look at the iconic Final Fantasy villain, Gilgamesh. The sword-swinger often turns up as an ally, summon spell, or enemy in the games, and when he does, he always wears an iconic red cowl over his armored body.

Not here, though, and I can’t say I’m a huge fan of this design either. He comes off like a generic being, indistinguishable from any other enemy soldier I’ve crossed swords against.

DLC is expected to be 2-3 hours long

This first chapter in Final Fantasy XV’s DLC plans will take players roughly 2 to 3 hours to beat, and that possibly includes the amount of time it takes to learn Gladiolus’ new fighting techniques. It launches on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 28, and Prompto’s DLC, the next chapter, is expected sometime in June.
