Nothing entirely new happening on the Final Fantasy front, but we are getting closer and closer to the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Square Enix of Japan doesn't want you to forget the release date of March 17, nor does it want to you forget that it comes packaged with the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo, granting millions of players their first hands-on experience with the game.

This sizzle reel says it all about what these two games entail. One is a road trip with a group of wayward youths on the run from a war, and the other is war story of trapped youths in desperate need of a road trip. Both are being handled by Square Enix's rising star, Director Hajime Tabata, a man with no shortage of knowledge on how to appeal to modern fans and speak to them on their level.

He is the exact opposite of the lofty image Square Enix has sometimes been unable to separate itself from in the past.

It's also quite a pleasure to see footage from these games side by side. One has been built for the current generation consoles from the ground up, and one is a PSP port that was never released in the States. While the graphics in both are impressive, especially in HD, the level of detail and design between footage of the two is absolutely staggering. Are these two games really taking advantage of the same console?

Plus, the contrast between the bright red uniforms of Type-0's teens and the black threads of XV's bros couldn't be anymore indicative of the difference in taste between the games' designers.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be released on March 17 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and of course, it will come packed with the demo for Final Fantasy XV inside. Just don't expect to find the car in the demo as it has been confirmed that it's cut.
