We're slowly creeping and crawling towards the highly anticipated release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. By now you know that the gameplay is totally different from the Attack/Magic/Defend/Run line fighting style of the older games in the series, but how much have you actually seen beyond the trailer montages?

Don't worry, I'm here to help. The latest trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is dedicated to nothing but straight up gameplay. Five minutes of footage should give you more than enough of a feel for what to expect from this baker's dozen group of militarized teens. I wonder who has a crush on who in this rabble.

Best of all, the segments are long enough to allow your brain to absorb what is actually happening. Check out the lock-on mechanic, the switching between party members, and of course, the massive Ifrit summon who jumps in at the 2 minute mark. That's the first I've seen of a summon beast in Final Fantasy Type-0. It definitely wasn't in the demo at TGS last year.

Plus, we get to see that heartbreaking scene again when the poor Chocobo dies. That's okay, because Square Enix decides to follow it up immediately by showing how to breed new ones! Reincarnation maybe?

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will launch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Mar. 17th. It will come packed with the demo for Final Fantasy XV, but you already knew that, didn't you?
