Told ya’ so! Square Enix is fully embracing the PC as a platform just as viable as consoles, and this most recent news all but confirms it will be a standard from here on out. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be coming to the PC via Steam.

The news comes from Square Enix’s Japanese Final Fantasy Twitter account. A release window will be discussed at a later date.

Can’t say I’m surprised. We’re closing down on the time difference between console releases and PC releases. For Final Fantasy Type-0, only three months have passed. It joins the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, Final Fantasy IV, and a handful of other titles which have made the migration over the last year.

In fact, I’ll go so far as to say that the same is going to happen for Final Fantasy XV. Expect to see either of these PC announcements for the West during Square Enix’s E3 press conference. If not then, then definitely shortly after.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is one of the stronger games of this year. Currently, it is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s not the Vita port a lot were hoping for, but you can’t have too many options.
