Nokia Lumia 710 on T-Mobile

Wondering what T-Mobile and Nokia will announce at its December 14 media event in New York City? Well, according to a new FCC filing, the new Windows Phone-powered Lumia 710 will be at least one of the devices on show.

WPCentral has discovered a listing for Nokia's entry-level Windows Phone handset on the FCC's website, which not only includes a user manual for the device — complete with T-Mobile branded Lumia 710 illustrations — but also photographs of a prototype device.

What's interesting, as noted by The Next Web, is that the listing includes references to an FCC filing from Nokia back in October. But the device has only just been indexed, which suggests that Nokia was hoping to keep the device a secret, but rather foolishly forgot to select the option to make the listing private when saving its latest submission.

There's certainly no question that the Lumia 710 is headed to T-Mobile, but it seems that its bigger brother, the Lumia 800, will not be following. That will be a little disappointing to Windows Phone fans, but it is promising to see that Nokia's debut Windows Phone devices are making their way to the U.S.

There are also claims that the U.S. will soon get the high-end Lumia 900, which could make the Lumia 800 unnecessary anyway.
