Essential’s 2017 flagship, which is also its first mobile device ever made, might be worth taking a look at today. Right now you can get the Essential Phone and its 360-degree camera attachment for less than just the phone normally costs. It’s a deal limited to Cyber Monday, so you only have the rest of the day to jump on it unless the item gets sold out before then.
A bundle including the Essential Phone and its 360-degree over on Amazon is listed at $399. Usually the phone itself is $499 while Essential’s exclusive accessory is around $179. With this deal, the online retailer says you’ll save around $221 compared to if you bought the items separately. Since the Essential Phone is typically set at $499 (and sometimes $449), this is the perfect deal for anyone who’s been eyeing Andy Rubin’s post-Android creation but hasn’t pulled the trigger.
The Essential Phone’s specifications still hold up as the year comes to an end. It features a 5.71-inch (2560×1312) IPS LCD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835, two 13MP rear cameras, an 8MP front camera, a 3040mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, and Android 7.1 Nougat with Oreo on the way.
There’s no doubt Essential created a beautiful product. Made from titanium, ceramic, and glass, the Essential Phone looks and feels better than most competitors. And it’s edge-to-edge display is downright gorgeous. Where people might have a problem with the Essential Phone is its camera. The dual-camera system on the back doesn’t produce very good pictures, though Essential’s done a nice job updating the software to provide improvements.
Both the Black Moon and Pure White models are eligible for the bundle savings, and Amazon will include free two-day shipping for Prime members.
