As November 18th, 2012 approaches, us Disney and gaming fans have something, hopefully, special to look forward to. Juntion Point Studios and Warren Spector are taking another crack at the universe of Epic Mickey with Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

We only hope the game is far better than its name.

With Epic Mickey 2, players will supposedly enjoy a great camera, fantastic visuals and a musical score that has characters singing during plot moments much like we’d see in classic Disney animation. There’s nothing quite like a Disney villain breaking out into song during the middle of a low-point in those aging flicks, and Spector and his team hope to bring that same feeling to the world of games.

If they can nail the process of lyrical goodies and baddies in Disney fashion, this musical game might earn a spot as one of my favorites for the year. That is assuming, of course, that the mechanics, characters and storyline are all top-notch as well.

Growing up with the flicks, visiting the parks and loving Mickey Mouse, I have a big soft spot in my heart for anything and everything Disney. Heck, that’s probably one reason why I’m genuinely excited about Disney’s recent Star Wars acquisition.

Will you give Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two a shot when it releases later this month for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, PC and Mac? Yes, they’re putting it out on everything. There’s even a completely separate sidescroller releasing for the Nintendo 3DS.
