Elon Musk wasted no time in giving us a sneak peek of his latest endeavor, The Boring Company. It has the lofty goal of giving Los Angeles a new transportation medium that would strike traffic right in the heart. Sounds great, right?

Musk is back with another look at The Boring Company’s testing, and the latest one comes with a warning: “This may cause motion sickness or seizures.”

The Tesla CEO took to Instagram to show off video of a test tunnel The Boring Company is using as its preliminary experiment. The test shows an electric sled slowly picking up speed inside a tunnel reaching 125 miles per hour (or 200kw/h). Once the sled hits full speed, the reason for the warning becomes very apparent. It makes even the strongest of stomachs turn.

Musk ends the Instagram caption stating a trip from Westwood to LAX would be 5 minutes. That very trip right now would take 15-20 minutes with perfect traffic to travel 10 miles.

In earlier posts, Musk revealed what an entry hole, staging area and starting tunnel would look like. He also announced the first full length tunnel would run from LAX to Culver City, Santa Monica, Westwood and Sherman Oaks. To create the tunnels, The Boring Company is using what Musk calls the “cutterhead” to dig and reinforce the tunnels.

The future is here

The Boring Company looks awesome, but it still needs more steps of development before it can get off the ground. Wired learned back in January that the Los Angeles Department of Public Work still needs to have more discussions with the City Council before the project is approved. Until then, we’re stuck with Elon Musk’s teases.

You can see what the completed tunnel system will look like in the images down below.
