EE's 4G phone lineup

After announcing the United Kingdom's first 4G network this morning, EE, the parent company of Orange and T-Mobile, has unveiled the lineup of mobile devices that will support it. It includes Nokia's latest Lumia devices — the Lumia 920 and the Lumia 920 — as expected, plus the Samsung Galaxy S III, the HTC One XL, and the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE.

EE's 4G lineup also includes a number of wireless broadband modems, including the Huawei E392 USB modem, and the Huawei E589 mobile hotspot, which works with up to five devices. When you're not in a 4G area, these devices will connect to a HSPA network instead, so they'll still be useful outside of the 16 4G-supported cities.

One thing EE didn't announce was pricing and availability for these devices.

And what about the iPhone 5, Apple's first 4G iPhone? Well, EE didn't mention that — which is unsurprising considering Apple hasn't announced it yet. However, the company's CEO, Olaf Swantee, did tease another new 4G device that's coming "very soon."
