Here's a little gem that dropped pretty far down into my Kickstarter backlog. Yup, I backed Dropsy back when I was just throwing money at Kickstarter projects, and it's been silent for quite a while. Since the last time I saw it, Devolver Digital picked it up for publication and has begun a marketing campaign to get it out there. The game has come a long way, and it's just so enjoyably creepy.

Dropsy is a point-and-click adventure about a clown who survived a circus fire and finds himself without any friends and trying to clear his name. On his "journey of self-discovery through a story that harnesses powerful themes of love and kindness," he finds that the only way to ease his pain is through hugging terrified children and kissing squirrels and everyone else in sight.

It doesn't seem like the law agrees with his new found hobbies, though. Can't say I blame them. Those kids look traumatized!

Dropsy launches on Steam on Sept. 10 for the PC and it will also be available for MAC, Linux, iOS, and Android.
