The DROID Turbo will finally make the jump to Android Lollipop, at least according to one Verizon employee. In a Google+ post, Jose Arturo revealed that the phone will update to Android 5.1 “around mid June,” revealing a photo of the device running the latest version of Google’s operating system.

Earlier this month, Motorola reminded us that the DROID Turbo was set to graduate from Android 4.4 KitKat straight to Android 5.1, but now we finally know when the update will arrive. Then again, we wouldn’t get too excited. It’s still possible the entire thing could be delayed yet again.

Either way, the DROID Turbo is still a solid smartphone. It packs a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, a 3900mAh battery, a 21-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of storage. As an added bonus, Verizon recently knocked $100 off the price in what seems like a permanent change. There’s also the new limited edition DROID Turbo with colorful accents, if you’re into that kind of thing.

Once the device gets the latest version of Android it should be a full fledged powerhouse again, and with Verizon promising an update next month, now may be the perfect time to pick one up.
