Today Motorola attempted to get some of their mojo back with the announcement of the MotoACTV and Droid RAZR. The RAZR is currently the world’s thinnest smartphone that boasts some very impressive specs and materials: Motorola SplashGuard, 4.3″ qHD Super AMOLED screen, 4G LTE, Kevlar build, among other things. But is it enough for customers to flock back to the Schaumburg- based company?

Everything might seem fine and dandy now, but one CNET reporter is saying that the spotlight won’t last very long. According to a post on Antuan Goodwin’s Twitter, rumors are pointing to not one, but five Nexus Prime (Galaxy Nexus?) models being announced for multiple carriers at tonight’s Google/Samsung event. If this pans out, and if Ice Cream Sandwich is everything we’re hoping for, Motorola’s latest announcement will almost certainly be overshadowed by the new Nexus Prime(s). Who’s excited?  For all the latest on the Prime and the Ice Cream Sandwich check out our live blog tonight at 7 PM PST.
