It looks like next-gen racing fans will have to wait until 2014 if they planned to enjoy Driveclub on the PlayStation 4. Sony announced today that the driving title won’t be available until early 2014.
Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida took to the PlayStation Blog to deliver the news. After announcing the delay, he closes with a sort of promise for would be Driveclub fans:
DRIVECLUB is a really ambitious racing title and the game is looking stunning. The extra time we’re giving the team means the visuals and overall experience are only going to get better. We can assure you that it will be worth the wait.
What’s left on launch day in terms of big budget exclusives for the PlayStation 4? Knack and Killzone: Shadow Fall. Don’t fret, Sony fans, the Xbox One’s lineup isn’t buckling under the weight of exclusives either. Their console sports the likes of Dead Rising 3 and Forza Motorsport 5.
What do you think of Driveclub‘s delay? Was it a reason you were excited for the PlayStation 4’s release? Or, does this delay mean nothing to you?
