Oh my… Maybe Bandai Namco and Artdink should start looking to the fans for influence on how to make its Dragon Ball Z games. The most recent game, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, was released to a mediocre reception, but if it looked or sounded like this fan made Hyper Dragon Ball Z, I think it might have done better.

Fans have been working on this Mugen-based Dragon Ball Z game for quite some time, and the quality definitely shows. Everything about this game from the graphics to the music, voice acting, and sound effects are downright amazing and pulled straight from the show. Hyperbole nothing! This is the best looking Dragon Ball Z game ever made, and if Bandai Namco has the sense, it would jump all over this thing and endorse it on the spot.

28 characters show that this game is no slouch in the content department either, and they extend to original characters like Yamcha, Tien, Master Roshi, and even the Saibamen, the overrated characters after the show got really ridiculous, and even the non-canonical movie villains.

No Chiaotzu though.

There really isn’t much left to say about it. The video is so amazing that it does the talking for itself. The YouTube video description includes a link to a demo that has everything that the team has created so far. Hopefully, Bandai Namco turns a blind eye long enough to get a full release without legal issues jumping in the way. I’ve seen too many promising Dragon Ball Z games get the ax over the years so we could suffer through official mediocre helpings.
