We've been patient for four long years, but finally we're being rewarded. BioWare says news of its fan-favorite Dragon Age series is coming this month. EA's BioWare company has three big branches right now: Anthem, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age. Anthem is coming soon and Mass Effect is on the backburner, but Dragon Age? We haven't heard anything in a while.

BioWare general manager Casey Hudson recently took to the official BioWare blog to provide an update. "If you've been following [the BioWare blog] or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we're also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we're excited to continue its legacy," Hudson said. He ended on a teaser.

"Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won't tell you where to look…)," Hudson said.

The clear assumption for this is the Game Awards, which air this Thursday, December 6. Producer Geoff Keighley has promised at least 10 new game announcements, and it seems like a pretty good place to get a high-profile announcement for a game with a diverse fanbase that includes self-described gamers, fantasy fans, and people who just play BioWare games.

After Dragon Age: Inquisition's ending brought a lot of the series threads to a head, we're eager to see where the series goes from here. Will it continue the tale of the world of Thedas, or find somewhere new altogether to visit?
