In honor of Black History Month, Disney announced it will be hosting free screenings of Best Picture nominee Black Panther at participating AMC Theaters across the country.

Black Panther opened last February riding a wave of overwhelming reviews on its way to become a blockbuster hit grossing over $1.3 billion at the box office. It was the first major superhero movie to star a black character marking a breakthrough in the genre that is still being felt a year later.

It’s illustrious legacy continued to gain traction this year as it become the first superhero movie to ever be nominated in the Best Picture category at the Academy Awards.

Now fans of all ages can enjoy Black Panther in theaters one more time. Screenings will take place at 250 AMC Theaters across the nation from February 1 to the 7. Each theater will have two showings per day and tickets will be free.

In conjunction with the free screenings, Disney is also donating a $1.5 million grant to the UNCF (United Negro College Fund) to further help the development of minority students.
