Disney Infinity is about to receive even more Marvel characters as Spider-Man and his allies enter the fray.

First spotted in the Disney Infinity 2.0 announcement, it didn’t come as a huge surprise today when it was announced Spider-Man would be joining in the Toy Box fun. What did come as a bit of a surprise, however, is some of his allies that were coming along. Iron Fist hasn’t been a major player on the Marvel scene for some time, but with an upcoming Netflix series, it probably explains his inclusion. Nova on the other hand is about to be introduced in a big way as the Nova Corps will play a major role in this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

On the villain side of things, Venom is coming to haunt Spider-Man’s nightmares, and from the looks of the trailer, he will have some friends to help him in the Spider-Man playset that will be released.

Nick Fury was also a given to receive a figure at some point from his prominence in the original announcement, but it’s nice to see it confirmed now.

Disney Interactive also announced additional Power Discs for the Spider-Man expansion and will include:

  • Spidey’s Sky
  • Spidey’s Streets
  • Jack-o-Lantern’s Glider
  • Spider-Glider
  • Spider-Cycle
  • The Immortal Iron Fist
  • Spider-Buggy
  • Spider-Copter
  • Marvel Team Up: White Tiger

It looks like once Disney Infinity 2.0 is going to be a heck of an expansion to the line, and if you’re a Marvel fan, your wallet may be aching by the time its all done.
